Sunset Spotlight: Military History Throughout the Generations by Jon Lindstrand

Jon, a curator of the United States Military Historical Collection will be presenting a program you won’t want to miss! He started collecting military items at five years of age and for over 35 years has amassed a collection of over 6,000 items from the Civil War through Modern Day. Over ninety percent of his collection has been donated by the veteran or their family and their history is gathered with the items. He has also interviewed around 500 military veterans from WWI through current. He will be sharing some key information to help identify military items, track down military history and research, and sharing some of what he’s learned over his years of collecting and interviewing veterans.
